A manmade stone forged from fire, sand and cobalt to create a glass with fine cobalt dust which shimmer in the sun. The story goes that a monk in the mountains was mixing molten glass when someone walked by and tripped, spilling their basket of copper in the mix. Thus the nickname; Monk-stone. Since this beautiful discovery was made, other materials like cobalt, chrome, manganese & more were used to create new colors.
This stone represents the joy of happy mistakes and how, although we can’t control everything that comes our way, we can still find beauty in the world. Cobalt itself represents wisdom, loyalty and creativity. Thought to help connect to the cosmos, looking into blue goldstone is like seeing a night sky full of glittering stars.
This piece is handwoven in Solid 0.925 Sterling Silver. Any sterling safe polish will restore it’s beautiful shine, but cream and liquid polish is recommended. Be aware not all polishes are safe for all minerals; always check your polish!
